How to use the chauffeur phone view

A chauffeur follows short phone steps for confirming a run and completing the daily check. The view shows only your own runs and your own vehicle, on a computer or a phone, with one tap per status step.

Steps on the phone

Keep the same order every run. The next button only offers the next step in the booking order.

  1. Sign in and open My day

Sign in with your MAJIC account and open My day. You see only runs where you are the assigned chauffeur, grouped as next, today, and completed. Each card shows call time, pickup, customer, requests, and flight.

  2. Open the run and read the detail

Read full routing, passenger name and phone, meet point, sign text, child seat, luggage, and flight. Meet at baggage claim with a name sign for MCI arrivals, as shown on the card.

  3. Confirm the run at call time

Call time is pickup time minus the lead hours setting, 3 hours by default, shown on every run. At call time, tap confirm. Confirming unlocks the chauffeur details message for a manager to approve.

  4. Advance status with one tap per step

Tap En route, then On location, then Passenger on board, then Complete, in that order. Only one run is in progress at a time. Marking On location drafts the on location message, and Complete drafts the thank you message, each waiting for approval.

  5. Complete the daily check before the first call time

Open the daily check for your own vehicle and work through cleaning items, then safety items, record odometer, fuel level, issues, and photos, then submit. A vehicle is Ready only when every item passes.

What you see, and what you do not see

The illustration shows one run card as a chauffeur reads it. The same fields appear on the dispatch board for managers.

My day · Today Call time 9:00 AM Pickup MCI · Flight UA 123 Customer · 2 passengers Requests Water · Child seat Meet at baggage claim Confirm run Next: En route
Phone reading: call time first, then pickup, customer, requests, and flight, with one large next step.

Your vehicle on the same phone

  • Cleaning items: exterior and wheels, interior and mats, touch surfaces and screens, glass, trash, stocking, fuel at 3/4 tank or more, and documents on board.
  • Safety items: tires, lights and signals, warning lights, brakes, air conditioning and heat in all rows, and body or glass damage.
  • Any failed safety item takes the vehicle out of service until cleared, with no passenger runs until then.
  • Upcoming service for your own vehicle shows beside the check, so due soon and overdue items are not a surprise.

Read the daily check guide for the full item list and photo steps.

What a buyer, IT, and compliance reviewer will ask

Phone access is limited by design and enforced on the server, not only by hiding buttons.

Own runs only

A chauffeur sees only runs where they are the assigned chauffeur and only their own vehicle. Relief chauffeurs see only the runs they are assigned that day. Other chauffeurs, other vehicles, other customers, rates, and payroll are not shown.

Individual sign in

Each person signs in with their own MAJIC account in the workspace for their company. There is no shared company password and no separate chauffeur download. Roles sit on top of MAJIC roles.

Status is a record

Each tap stamps the status and time on the booking, updates the day board, and drafts the matching customer message for approval. Planned pickup time is kept separate from the recorded time.

Customer contact timing

The customer receives chauffeur name, vehicle, and phone only after Driver confirmed. Before that, the public status page states that chauffeur details arrive at call time.

Phone use and access

Every screen works on a phone and by keyboard, with labels on every field, real headings in order, alt text, and good contrast. Buttons show only when the signed in role can use them, and the server checks again.

Start with call time

Read what happens at call time, then open the schedule to see the same run from dispatch.
