Keep each Navigator ready for the day
Ten Lincoln Navigators, each with its odometer, permits, daily check, and service record. A vehicle that is not ready is never dispatched.
Clean and inspect before the first call time
Each chauffeur completes the check for their own vehicle on a phone. The result is Ready or Out of service, with the failed item stated.
- Cleaning items, then safety items, in order
- Odometer, fuel level, issues, and photos recorded
- Ready only when every item passes
Out of service means no passenger runs
Any failed safety item takes the vehicle out of service until a manager clears it after repair. Permits and inspections are shown before they lapse.
Failed safety item
Warning light, tire tread, brakes, lights, A/C and heat, or new body or glass damage stops the vehicle until cleared.
Permits on file
Each vehicle permit and inspection date is recorded for KCMO regulated livery. An expired permit flags the vehicle as not ready.
Clear with a reason
Only an owner or manager clears an out of service vehicle, with the reason recorded.
Service by miles or months, whichever comes first
Each Navigator is tracked against the Lincoln livery schedule. Log the shop, date, odometer, and cost, and the next due date moves.
Open the vehicle
Read last done miles and date, next due miles and date, and due soon or overdue flags for each item.
Choose the item done
Pick from the fourteen items, from oil and rotation to coolant and accessory belt.
Record the visit
Enter date, odometer, shop, and cost. Odometer can only move forward.
Check the new flag
The item resets and due soon or overdue flags update for that vehicle only.
- Ten vehicles, each with its own odometer and service history
- Missed oil service takes the vehicle out of service
- Chauffeurs see upcoming service for their own vehicle only
